'Fantastic Location...'
Fantastic location overlooking the sea. Plenty of local restaurants.
A few things that could improve the villa, a toaster, bbq utensils, more than one tea towel. The air conditioning units need looking at as they are noisy. The pool towels could do with replacing. Although we were told the island has very low crime we think the villa could do with a safe.

'Lovely Villa...'
Lovely villa with beautiful views from two balconies and pool area. Plenty of room for 6. Air conditioning. Short walk to beach and restaurants. Had to cross a road to get to beach but after that just a short walk through olive groves. I recommend the boat hire for a day exploring the coast.
Just needs a little more attention to detail in house maintenance (blown light bulb and broken shower fixings). I also think that sheets and towels should be changed at least weekly. We were there for 9 days and that was too long without a linen change.
Gardener and Pool guys did a great job looking after the outside space which was immaculate.
Hope to visit Corfu again!

'Fantastic...'
Fantastic location, close to beach, shops and restaurants in a really clean modern villa with amazing views. Whole process was really easy and it was comforting to know Jane was there if we had any questions or needed any help. Definitely recommend the villa and the location and hiring a boat on the beach from Spirros. Only downside is that the driveway is too steep for a car but given the proximity to beach, shops and restaurants a car isn’t really necessary. Other than that everything was great and we would definitely recommend the house and prestige to our friends

'Great...'
Whole booking process was great as were communications (Annabelle and Jane) before and during our stay - very friendly and helpful and knowledge of different villas was extremely useful.
Local car rental (Holiday Cars) recommended.
All tavernas/restaurants on the ‘main road’ are very good although Cerytades, whilst really friendly, lacks in quality.
Sandy beaches are on the west side of the island, Agios Georgios is nice and from there a good run down the coast to see the fortress at Angelokastro
Local ‘supermarkets’ ok for basics and should be patronised for the local economy, but main supermarket in Dassia is better bet and 30% cheaper. There’s also a butchers as you enter Dassia, before you hit the main thoroughfare- again very good.

'Fabulous Week at Villa Alya'
Would you recommend this property to other travellers?Yes
Comments about this property
We would highly recommend this Villa!!! Our family of 5 (2 adults, kids age 19,15,10) spent a fabulous week at Villa Alya. The house was very comfortable for our family. The balconies were a great place to watch the sunsets. The pool was larger than it appeared in the pictures and we enjoyed laying out on the sun loungers. The pool/beach towels at the villa were great to use so we didn't have to bring our own. We had a small issue with the air conditioning and it was fixed very quickly the same day by Dominic and Spiro who were very kind and helpful. The house is situated up a steep hill and there are 60 steps from the main road up to the house. We were able to do it without any issues, but it might be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The only thing that could be improved is the wifi. It was spotty, at best. We compensated by using the free wifi at Barbati Beach where we spent all of our days. Thank you, Jane, for always being available to answer my questions. It was a pleasure renting through your company.
Tips for other travellers
Would highly recommend renting a boat from Spiros Boat Hire which is on Barbati beach. We wish we would've done this more than 1 day. The local tavernas and beach restaurants served great Greek food, although their menus tended to be the same.

'Excellent clean villa with great pool'
After a limousine transfer we arrived at around 11:00pm and after conquering the steep walk up to the villa easily found the door key in the lockable key cabinet. The villa was clean and comfortable although the design was unusual with the dining room & kitchen on the first floor. The pool was excellent and cleaned regularly. The only problem was the WIFI signal was poor! Normally this would not have been such a worry but my son needed to work while we were away and couldn't effectively communicate with the UK. Otherwise (apart from the terrible weather) we had a good time - pleased that we took playing cards!!!!

'The Perfect Property'
The Property was everything that was promised. The Villa was clean, and well equipped for the stay. The Bedrooms as spacious and the main bedroom has breathtaking views. It is well situated, and walking distance to Food shops, an ATM, excellent Restaurants and the beach with a variety of bars as well as sun loungers to rent at a reasonable price, water sports and boat hire are provided as well. Any queries we had during our stay was immediately attended to. The pool is clean and has a stunning view over the sea, and during the evening well lit for night time cool down swims. I will highly recommend this property to a family that wants it all are their finger tips. Thanks again to Jane and her Team.

'Location, Location, Location'
As a family of four, with two teenage children, we were keen to strike a balance between peace and quiet and enough local life to keep everyone happy. Top of our list was also a pool and nearby beach. Villa Alya was able to provide all of the above. The Villa itself is pristine, spacious and furnished to a good standard. The master bedroom on the top floor has a fabulous balcony as does the main living area on the first floor. We spent many evenings watching the cruise ships coming and going. Downstairs - where the entrance is- there is a double bedroom and nearby shower room. This may not have a balcony view but benefitted from being the coolest part of the Villa. We couldn't fault the service from Prestige Villas when we had any minor problems or queries. Jane was always happy to assist. The pool and garden area is sizeable and well laid out. It is accessible via the front door and up some steps. Welcome shade from the villa in the late afternoon! Without wishing to nit-pick, the kitchen is compact to say the least, making meal preparation a challenge. It is reasonably well equipped and I'm sure this will only improve as more people stay and request items. It is worth noting - as previous guests have done- that the drive leading to the Villa is extremely steep. There are 54 steps (yes we counted them often) which in 34 degree heat seem like hundreds. The two occasions that we took a taxi, the drivers found the slope extremely difficult. We rented a Jeep and didn't have such a problem which must say a lot either for Jimny jeeps or my husbands driving! On the subject of car rental, we hired one for two days and soon realised that we were in the best part of the island. we found Barbati to be a small but lively village with several restaurants and beach bars with a very laid back feel. Forget driving and rent a boat instead. Emilios - situated on the beach- has boats to rent . The various coves and Tavernas that can be accessed are by far the best experience you will have of Corfu.
