'Lovely Holiday Indeed'
All in all the house and its owners are truly amazing. We liked them very much. They have a beautiful home to stay in and they treated us with respect and kindness even though there was a personal difficulty in their family at the time we stayed. The location was more built up than we had expected, even after checkin on Google Maps. Planes taking off and landing, though not problematic for some of us, was not welcomed by the other half of us. However can't really say that the experience lessened the enjoyment of the holiday. Price was average I think. Villas are expensive whichever way you look at it so you want it all to be just right. Most of it was. Thank you all.

'Amazing'
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the villa was well equipped and well maintained. On arrival we were greeted by the owner Sophie who also stocked our fridge up with a few essentials. The villa is close to the airport so planes do fly pass quite close but the children thought this was great. The villa has a lovely infinity pool and outside bbq area with an amazing view. Only one niggle the kitchen could do with some sharper knives.

'Luxurious & Relaxing'
You have to experience the quality and attention to detail of the splendid villa, the owners have made this an ideal place to live for your visit to Corfu, the accommodation is well maintained with large airy room’s tastefully furnished and decorated.
The pool area is stunning with views over the South of the island, there is even a large dedicated BBQ with outdoor eating area.
A car is essential if you want to enjoy eating out at any of the local restaurants, there are plenty to choose from.
The owner was there to greet us on arrival, leaving us a very generous supply of home made and local produce to enjoy, all too soon it was time to say goodbye, this is a villa you can enjoy for an extended stay.

'What a villa..'
Stylish, spotless, comfortable whatever the temperature outside, lots of space, separate areas for everyone to have a bit of quiet if needed …. The view from the pool is fantastic - big skies and endless sea. Near enough to the town and airport to get in and out quickly yet tucked away and peaceful. What made our stay really special was the many kindnesses of Sophie, our host who lives nearby. She was able to help us find all the best places to eat/drink/swim/see and have a truly fantastic week. We shall return one day I hope.

'Paradise Found'
Arriving at the villa we were greeted by the owner Sophie who kindly opened the gates for us and gave us a tour, we never imagined just what a beautiful "hidden paradise" we had the pleasure of visiting.
Villa Giovannia is a top class villa. Clean, well cared for, fitted all our needs and not only beautifully decorated, but perfectly equipped with everything you could wish for.
There is a wonderful infinity swimming pool, that is a perfect temperature. The Villa is blessed with different places inside and around the villa to enjoy meals.
We enjoyed unbelievable views to the sea and the mainland of Greece -watching the sailing ships and the fishing boats passing by, all of which was absolutely wonderful.
The colourful garden is fully landscaped and was a real joy for our eyes.
Our host Sophie was extremely helpful and informative and was a pleasure to have met.
The local area has plenty of delightful tavernas and we've had some delicious meals with fresh fish.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we did not want to leave but unfortunately it was time to go back to reality. So, we are looking forward to returning next year and we can't wait until next summer.
Overall villa Giovannia is the best villa we have stayed in!

'Villa Giovannina 2020'
We booked Villa Giovannina at the last minute when our Corfu Hotel didn't open and we were very fortunate it didn't. Villa Giovannina has the most incredible 180 degree views along the Corfu coastline which were breathtaking at day and night. Sophie, the owner, could not have been more kind and generous - from arrival gifts for our children, to cakes and goodies through the stay. She really made us feel welcome. The pool and gardens are immaculate with a great variety of areas for shade and sun throughout the day. I enjoyed making use of the BBQ table - need to build one at home!
The location is quite close to the airport but with only a few planes landing an hour it broke up lazy days by the pool playing "guess the flight operator"!

Sophie was such a fantastic host! We couldn’t have asked for a better trip to Corfu. The villa was amazing & clean with a beautiful pool. She was even kind enough to make some desserts for us & took us into town to catch the ferry. I would recommend anyone coming to the island that would like to stay close to Corfu Town to pick this gorgeous villa!!!

'Amazing..'
Villa Giovannina was the best choice for our family vacation! The house is amazingly well equipped. We cooked in the kitchen and grilled outside in the outdoor kitchen as well. Sophie even stocked the fridge with some items for us as we arrived at 5:30 pm on a Sunday. The bedrooms are all well situated with a view of the pool and balcony. The pool with the views were beautiful every day. We all enjoy watching the planes come by occasionally. The location was close to Corfu town and easy to navigate to other locations around the island. You must got to Palaiokastritsa and rent a boat to see the caves and beaches only accessible from the water. Grab a bite to eat and a drink at La Gtotta bar on the cliff. Sidari beach and Canal D’Amour was another wonderful day trip. Kassiopi beaches looked like a pool they were so calm and blue. The waters are so blue and clear everywhere on the island! You can tent a car at the bottom of the hill near the Alexandros Hotel. There’s a small store there as well with basic provisions and. Lidl 10 minutes from the house for groceries if you want to cook more. You’ll love your stay at Villa Giovannina!

Perfect villa for 8 adults. Sophia was a gracious hostess even baking a birthday cake for Dads birthday. A car is required for exploring the island but cabs can be called from hotel at the bottom of the hill. I loved the planes flying overhead. Yet another spectacle from the balcony.

Lovely villa with outstanding views and pool area. Very helpful host and five star touches in the bathrooms A few comments 1. The slope from the top floor to pool area is very slippy like a screw slope and could e dangerous for some -appreciate it adds to the charm of the place 2. Would be helpful to have a file/folder of local information including transport shopping services etc. Villa facilities, entertainment on offer, emergency numbers....Most other villas I have stayed in of this standard have an info folder. Appreciate this can be accessed via the host but also useful to have something to read.
Our Reply:
Thank you for letting us know that our Villa Information Folder wasn't available during your stay. We will ensure a replacement is supplied. Also since your stay the owners have replaced the gravel with a flight of stone steps.

Villa Giovannina was excellent in every respect , Sofia had thought of and provided everything for a relaxing stay. Her willingness to help organise trips was useful although we didn't take her up on this due to the poor weather during our stay. The proximity to Corfu Town and its many restaurants and bars meant that we had a great deal of choice of where to eat at night and we went to a different one every night. Though beware of the parking and the locals driving, chaotic is an understatement. As the villa is fairly close to the airport and the flight path there is aircraft noise at times but you get used to it but it certainly did not spoil our holiday. As has been widely reported, the piles of rubbish littering the island is an eyesore and will no doubt have an effect on tourist numbers in the future. However it was clear that something was being done during the time of our holiday with some of the rubbish being removed. All in all inspite of the weather and the Greek drivers we had a relaxed week.
Our Reply:
Thanks for your great review! With regards to the aircraft, we do encounter aircraft noise over the majority of the island. Giovannina is located south of the airport and would usually only encounter aircraft on approach over the sea. Also pleased to report that the rubbish situation has now been resolved!

The villa is simply beautiful, tastefully but thoughtfully furnished and equipped with an abundance of outside space and breath taking views. Tips for other travellers Perama sits between Corfu Town and Benitses and the No.6 bus at the bottom of the road will take you to both. Corfu Town is beautiful particularly in the evening, awash with restaurants, bars and pavement culture.

For a couple of months our family spent the evenings looking for a place that could satisfy the needs of our group of 9 people. Among all the possible solutions in Corfu, villa Giovannina really stood out. When we arrived we were surprised to see that the villa was even more charming in reality than in pictures , especially the ground level with the pool and the room in front of it. Unfortunately eating breakfast on the porch wasn't perfect because of the presence of bees trying to eat what's on the table , but that is a natural characteristic of the local fauna.
Katerina and Sophie were always available and forthcoming , our stay was really out of this world. Leaving the place was the hardest part of our holiday trip
