'Corfu is beautiful'
Simply a superb break! The villa and pool were marvellous. Bear in mind the local supermarket shuts Sunday, plenty more nearby. The bakers behind the supermarket are brilliant. Hill was hard work for our hire car, but the team swapped it for something with more oomph.
Highlights, the White House taverna where Lawrence Durrell lived, the byzantine castle near Palaiokastritsa stunning (with handy cocktails once you return!), the sea, the greeks and Corfu old town(great restaurant new jewish quarter, one of a pair olio e vino) and of course Greece and the Greeks were welcoming, fun and laid back.

'Holidays'
Our stay at the Villa Iroko was the perfect autumn holiday. Very nice Villa, very nice and helpful staff - little "problems" were solved immediately - we and especially the kids really enjoyed the days. Two little notes for improvement :-): In october a second table inside would be nice for eating in early or late hours and there could be some wardrobes near the doors for jackets similar. But in total everything was perfect, especially the driving instructions have been perfect and we recommend the home delivery service we used :-) Thanks a lot to Annabelle, Jane and Chris who have been reachable for us everytime... also late in the evening ;-) Kind regards

'Villa Iroko - Aug 2020'
We had a wonderfully relaxing time at Villa Iroko. Jane was super helpful with our booking which was very much last minute given COVID. We were staying in Gouvia for the first time having typically stayed further up the NE coast. The location is very convenient for the airport and Corfu Town and the local Gouvia marina has some great places to eat.
The villa is well laid out with a well shaded outside dining area and a really nice pool our teenagers enjoyed a lot.
Our suggestions for improvements: A/C on ground floor and better quality and number of towels.

I would definitely recommend Prestige Villas. Communication was excellent, and they were always quick to respond and ready to help. The villa was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday and can't wait to return some day.

'Excellent'
Excellent villa on top of a hill, so the views are beautiful: you can see the coastline and the town from the garden of the villa. The only slight negative of this is that the walk uphill to the villa from the street is pretty steep (a rental car is advised). The villa was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the infinity pool very relaxing! Also, very attentive to supply some basic supplies, thanks for that! We had a great time at Villa Iroko and warmly recommend both the villa and the support from Prestige Villas. Thanks all!

'Great'
Villa Iroko was a great place to stay for our group. Easy access to the highway to get to many areas around central corfu. Would recommend to anyone staying with a larger group. We had everything we needed to live like we would at home, thanks! Only issues I would callout were: - AC unit on main floor was not working, luckily bedrooms were functional - 2 Toilets in bottom floor did not work properly, I told Prestige about this, they said someone would come but nobody ever did Also, another way to explain how to find it would be to put Hotel DeBono in the GPS and take the left right before it, follow up the hill until you see the blue road split sign and you'll see the concrete road on the left before the bend.

Thanks for organising a great stay. We absolutely loved the villa. We found it well equipped with all the amenities we would want...and also ready for a family with young children. The pool was near perfect with amazing views. We rented a boat from the Dassia beach and then went along the North East coast. The highlight was lunch at Nikolas Taverna in Agni. A great day out.

Had a great stay only complaint was the amount of wasps and hornets, to The point where you can't sunbathe or eat out but what can you do about that? Tip for anyone coming out filtered coffee in tin foil and set alight and suddenly no wasps!!!!! Local cure for them! Works a treat Would definitely book again.
Our Response
We are so sorry to hear that you had a wasp problem. If we had known we would have asked the gardener to go and spray the surrounding area as there is clearly a nest in the immediate vicinity as the neighbouring villa didn't report any problems. I hope though that you found the villa to be of a high standard and our service to be good. Hope to hear from you again if you return to Corfu!! Best wishes Jane and the team.

The gardens and pool were beautiful, the villa very clean with goof furniture, TV and music system all working for a change. The villa is so close to the beeches, local resort and Corfu town, only 15 mins drive, we used the recommended taxi company who was so helpful. 'A Great Holiday'
We had a fantastic 2 weeks at Villa Iroko. The villa was clean and modern and everything worked. The pool was the highlight for both adults and the children and the villa layout works well for 2 families. The villa was peaceful and always a pleasure to come back to after a morning exploring the area and is not too far from the secluded bays of the North east of the island.
The villa owners were helpful and had some great advice on places to eat and see. One of the joys of being in the area is that you are close to Corfu Old Town which is a must see and visit.
A hugely enjoyable holiday and thank you to Jane and the Prestige team.

'Stunning Location'
We arrived late on a Saturday night. Directions were excellent and easy to find the Villa. The views were amazing at night but woke up in the morning to an even more spectacular scene of the marina, Gouvia bay, the Greek mainland and Albania in the distance. Villa Iroko was very well equipped. Lots of towels in all rooms, and plenty of pool towels. Bathrooms all excellent and well situated . Well equipped utility room with plenty of washing and drying facilities. The master bedroom on the top floor had the most wonderful views with two balconies. All rooms had good shutters, insect screens and air conditioning. Everywhere was very clean and tidy. Kitchen really well equipped everything you would have at home. The outside eating area where we spent most of our time was level and spacious and leads from the main living room. There is plenty of shade and two very large umbrellas. The gardens were very well kept with lawns and beautiful olive trees. We were 2 adults and 3 teenagers and it all worked well. The swimming pool was the best we have ever rented and have been going to Corfu for 40 years! We played a lot of bat and ball and plenty of space to swim and play games. Swimming towards the edge of the infinity pool with the wonderful views in front of you would be hard to beat. The supermarket is very close to drive to, about 4 mins. There is a good bakery just down the road. A car is essential but you are well located to get East or West of the island. The beautiful coastline of the North East coast is a short drive away. Gouvia with excellent water skiing, paragliding and water sports at the Corcyra Hotel are a must. There are excellent restaurants in the marina, Kommeno and Kondokali all only a 5 minute drive away. Corfu town is only a 15 minute drive. The villa is very secure and private and not overlooked at all. It has an automated gate at the entrance .It is extremely quiet during the day and at night. We had the best holiday ever there and would highly recommend it. We are looking forward to going back next year. Thank you to the owners who were very helpful.

'Should have been aired and overhauled before we Arrived but Lovely'
Owner came each day to do maintenance that should have been done before arrival , no TV , damp bedding , problems with plumbing , had to ask owner for privercy and request his maintenance was done after our stay , shame as it could have been so much better if he had done the work before we got there , we were also told we could have essential provisions on arrival as supermarket was closed on a Sunday but this never happened and so there was no drinking water or toilet rolls etc , luckily our Greek friends came to our rescue , do think an improvement is needed
But we had a great time and would still recommend the villa bearing in mind that it was start of season
Thank you for a superb learning holiday
Our Response:
Thank you for taking the time to review Villa Iroko. I am glad you liked the villa, it really is a lovely property and we have only ever had rave reviews and repeat bookings as you will see from previous reviews. As you know the week you were here the weather was terrible, cold and wet, I'm sorry that the villa was damp, we had the decorators in the week before your arrival and the house had been opened for a number of days whilst the work was being undertaken. Unfortunately, we have lost many British Channels recently in this part of Europe via Satellite, we have Sky News and a number of other Channels which our guests haven't complained about before. Not sure what problems you had with the plumbing, you didn't mention this during your stay. The owner who lives in the UK also owns the villa next door on the adjacent plot, I'm sorry your stay coincided with the week he was here to do some minor maintenance on the next door villa. From what you told me he had been round to see you on the Thursday not each day, he had asked if you would mind him fitting a water filter to the washing machine the following morning and after you contacted me I immediately contacted him and told him you didn't want him to bother you. I have looked back on every email correspondence from yourself and not once were we asked to supply any form of shopping which we could gladly have done if requested as we do on many occasions. Also I can assure you that there was a large pack of toilet rolls left in the Utility room. The main supermarket is closed on a Sunday but there are tourist mini markets in Gouvia open 7 days a week. Once again, thank you for taking the time to make your review, . I would like to assure future guests that this is not the norm, the weather in Corfu is usually beautiful, it's 30 degrees as I write this and had the weather been as it should have been I am sure your stay would have been far more enjoyable.

every room is well furnished and organised... for italian people we left a "caffettiera" the only item we miss.
The island is spectacular and resturants cheap and with good quality food

'Superb Villa'
My husband and 3 son's stayed in Villa Iroko for 10 nights.
We had absolutely no problems due to the Greek economic crisis, we used cash and debit card without any worries, to be honest we wouldn't have known there were any troubles until you read papers etc!
The booking was easy and Jane the manager was only a phone call away and always friendly and helpful with any enquiries.
This was our first time in Corfu and the villa was 20 mins drive from airport, no trouble finding it as directions were spot on. The villa is really superb from the breathtaking views down the hillside to Gouvia bay and the master suite views also fantastic, and we loved the fact it was on its own floor with large ensuite. Our sons enjoyed the wifi and huge selection of DVD's. The villa was spotlessly clean and all the fixtures and furnishing's were to a high standard. We ate out on the terrace everyday, and the infinity pool was large enough for our sons 22, 20, 18 to mess around in all together having great fun.
The villa is ideally placed to visit the a lot of the island, West, North East etc. We particularly loved hiring the small motor boats and exploring the coves and beaches each side had to offer, some of the most beautiful coastline we have ever seen. Kommeno resaturants have the best views and Corfu town being only 15 mins drive is well worth a visit or two.
We would not hesitate to recommend to friends and relatives.
Owner's Response: Thank you Jane for the lovely review and for also mentioning the fact that you were not inconvenienced by the 'Financial Crisis' which so far has had little/no effect on Corfu. So glad you enjoyed your holiday and hope it will be the first of many future visits to Corfu, it really is a beautiful island!! Warmest regards Jane (Prestige Villas of Corfu)

'Lovely Peaceful Location with good Access'
Villa Iroko is a clean and spacious villa in an excellent location. The airport is about 20 mins drive, Corfu old town is about 10 minutes drive and Mount Pantokrator and Paleokastrista are all within easy reach. There is a supermarket with good selection of fruit and veg and a bakery within 5 minutes drive and is open until 9pm except on Sundays. We arrived on a Sunday and Jane had kindly got us some provisions as supermarkets often not open on a Sunday. The small town of Gouvia is about 5 minutes drive away where we hired a motor boat for a day trip along the north east coast, stopping at little sandy coves and at waterside taverna for lunch. The old town of Corfu is beautiful with lots of little shops and lovely places to eat. We enjoyed Paleokastrista too - though do check the opening times of the monastry. Along the road there are olive wood and leather workshops selling a wide range of Corfu made products.
The Villa itself is not overlooked (even though there is a one villa next door). The setting was very peaceful with wonderful views out across the bay and towards the mountains of Albania. It was clean and spacious and generally well equipped. The pool was clean and large and quite warm enough during the day. We were not troubled at all much with insects and anyway there are screens on all the windows and doors. Our only slight problem is that the water is very hard and although clean enough to drink you really need bottled water.
We were a party of 4 adults and 2 teenagers and the Villa suited us well. If you have little children you should note the pool is not gated and quite deep at one end, but the garden is well enclosed with nice grassy areas as well as patio space. The pictures etc and description are accurate and all our emails booking etc were responded to really quickly and helpfully. I think you would need a car here as the hill up from the main road and supermarket would be a long steep trudge in the heat. All in all I would definitely recommend this area of Corfu and Villa Iroko was a good lovely peaceful location.

'Perfection in Corfu'
As far away as you can possibly get from the traditional Brits abroad all inclusive package usually associated with Corfu, this holiday offered the perfect combination of relaxation, wonderful food and beautiful sunny weather! Villa Iroko, tucked away in the hills overlooking Gouvia, is perfectly situated just 15 minutes from Cofu town and a short drive from Gouvia village and marina. It is in the most perfect spot imaginable with wonderful views across the bay. Everything has been thought of — from hair dryers to beach towels, coffee machine to ipod dock. It really is a home away from home. The pool was a particular highlight and perfect to cool down after a long hard day of sun bathing. Supermarkets and restaurants are all within easy reach and the whole experience - from booking onwards - was faultless. Just perfect. Whether it's with a family or a group of close friends I really can't praise villa Iroko and the delights of Cofu enough. Very highly recommended!

'Luxury villa with breathtaking views'
A fabulous luxury villa with a gorgeous pool. The pictures don't do it justice! As we drove into the grounds of the villa we were blown away. A super large pool with a shallower end and beautiful al fresco dining area - this is where we spent most of our time. It has a spacious communial area and ample kitchen space. The master bedroom on the first floor is spacious with an ensuite and 2 balconies which we took full advantage of - all the bedrooms are modern and decorated in cool relaxing colours. Plenty of bathrooms with either free standing showers, baths or in bath showers so there is something to suit everyone. The view from the villa of gouvia bay is breathtaking and this is always how I spent my early morning just drinking in the sheer beauty and watching the boats cruising by. The nearest supermarket dellias is well stocked with everything you could possibly need and there is a street of bars and tavernas across the main road with covers all tastes. You will need a car for these shopping trips and beware the road to the villa is very steep. Old corfu town is only 15 mins away. Lots to do here if you like water sports and boat trips too. The agents were totally efficient organising car hire and made themselves available in such a friendly and caring way. This is certainly the best villa we have stayed in to date and we hope to use this company again very soon.

The property was delightful, perched on the side of a hill surrounded by olive trees, very private and with breathtaking views of the Ionian sea and the east coast of Corfu. The property is new and well equipped with everything you could possibly need and the air con ensures a good nights sleep. The pool is 'to die for' and was where we spent a lot of time. Local amenities are on your door step with an abundance of restaurants in Gouvia itself, try one of the marina ones or 9Muses on the High Street. Jane ans Chris were always on hand if you needed anything and I would have no hesitation in recommending the property. A car is essential.

'Villa Iroko'
We had a great week at the villa, it has a great view and the pool is the best pool at any villa we have stayed at. The house is very well furnished and equipped and the renters were very helpful. We spent practically the whole week at the villa, relaxing in the sun, relaxing under the covered patio area and in the pool. However, we did into Corfu old town most evenings for a wander and to eat and it is only about 10 minutes from the villa which was very convenient.
