Villa Sequoia ~ Barbati
Description ...
'Villa Sequoia' has only recently been completed and is one of three well appointed villas each with their own private pools on the exclusive development know as Barbati Bay View. The villas are fully equipped to a very high standard and in a peaceful location where they enjoy spectacular views of the Sea and over to Corfu Town. Extremely spacious and built on three floors, there are 3 bedrooms all with their own fitted wardrobes and contemporary bath/shower rooms. For guests who enjoy catering for themselves, the villas have a very well equipped kitchen with Full Oven & Ceramic Hob, Dishwasher & Full Fridge Freezer. Each Villa has it's own private pool with sunloungers and umberellas, a BBQ and a comfortable outside dining area enjoying spectacular views of the resort, beach and the sea.
The villas are in a perfect position for guests who want a 'Car Free Holiday' as the villas are located just off the high street where there are lots of Greek taverna's serving excellent home cooked food. In addition, the fantastic white beach of Barbati is less than a five minute walk where you will find some really upmarket Beach Side Restaurants and Chill-out Bars. Barbati has a real 'holiday resort' feel to it with a good choice of small supermarkets selling all your daily essentials and beach accessories. The villas are located up a steep driveway in a peaceful location where they enjoy spectacular views of the resort and over the bay to Corfu Town.
A lush landscape
This village in northeast Corfu wins hearts for its pretty mountain backdrop and white shingle beach, which stretches for almost 2 kilometres. The main street has all the essentials – tavernas and a supermarket, as well as the odd gift shop. And the views are something else – you can see across the bay to Corfu Town, as well as catching an eyeful of Albanian coastline.
Blue Flag winner
The beach is a 10-minute stroll through olive groves from the main village. Tucked away from the road, it’s considered the best on the east coast and one of the nicest in all Corfu. It’s charmingly undeveloped – you’ve got just shallow, clear waters, pine trees and, unusually, the remains of an ancient church. There are loungers and umbrellas for hire if you want them, or it’s easy to find yourself a secluded spot.
Near Corfu Town
There are regular buses to the island capital, Corfu Town, about 20 kilometres away. Getting lost in the labyrinthine Campiello, or old town, is all part of the fun here. And this is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, complete with museums, churches and a 16th-century fortress. Sooner or later you’ll end up at the Liston, an Italian-style colonnade lined with fancy cafés.

'High Standard...'
We had a lovely holiday at Villa Sequoia. The access to the villa is up a steep drive which was a bit of a challenge in the heat for carrying up provisions however the local supermarket 'Nicholas' would deliver if required (the staff here were really friendly and helpful). Generally the villa was equipped to a high standard, the beds were comfy and the garden and pool were well maintained. The views from the balcony were stunning! Just a few details needed some attention e.g. the corkscrew was broken! The fridge was leaking when we arrived and the Greek people on site were brilliant at sorting it out straight away. We were a family of four adults and feel it would have been a bit of a squash for 6 adults.
The pebble beach was just 5 mins away and the water was gorgeous to swim in. We would recommend hiring a boat for the day from Spiros boat hire and a trip to Corfu Old Town, the Green Buses were a comfortable ride and good value. Local restaurants were welcoming and the food was always delicious and they catered well for a family of vegetarians!
A lovely, relaxing holiday in a beautiful location; we would love to return to Corfu and would be happy to use Prestige Villas of Corfu again.

'Great Villa, Clean and with Good Views'
Also close to many restaurants and easy walk to a beach (although uphill on the way back - good exercise!). Easy booking and quick answers of questions. Only thing I’d ask to be added was a toaster as I had toast, with the gorgeous Corfu honey, for breakfast.

Comments about this property
We had a lovely stay with 6 adults. The view from the balconies was stunning. The property was spotless, and very well set out, nice bathrooms and the poolside very nice. The beach is very close by, with some great restaurants including sunbeds and umbrellas. Enough restaurants in Barbati to choose from and Corfu town offered also good entertainment.
Barbati caters well for the little supermarket and bakeries. We went twice to a big supermarket closer to Corfu town. We had a car for the week and is a must to go around to find some lovely spots on the island. All in all we could certainly recommend this accommodation.

'Nice Property'
We stayed with 6 people and it was big enough to have our own space. Nice modern and clean. The views are brilliant with two balconies and the poolside was great! Close to the beach with everything you want like sunbeds, shade and restaurants. Also Barbati bay caters for shops, restaurants and bars. Would go again!

'Very Good Service'
Would you recommend this property to other travellers?Yes
Comments about this property
Very good service helped our booking and holiday go smoothly. Villa was clean and well maintained.
Tips for other travellers
The villa is up a short steep hilll from the main road. Supermarkets and bakeries are only a short walk. Bread biscuits and doughnuts from bakery excellent.
We visited three local restaurants and they were all excellent. Short distance to drive to airport, Corfu town, Achillion and Aqualand. Roads can be narrow and windy and drivers need to be alert for scooters emerging from all directions. Makes journey times slightly longer than I would have expected.

'Fantastic Location, Stunning Views'
We stayed at Villa Sequoia with our teenage children and had a fabulous holiday. We were impressed with Prestige Villas' efficiency and speed of response to any queries. The villa was very clean and accurately described except for the wi-fi which didn't work very well and was a problem for the teenagers. The pool was kept spotlessly clean, being maintained every three days. The location was perfect. We loved Barbati which was low key but had enough tavernas, a great cocktail bar on the beach and a good bakery and supermarket. We can highly recommend hiring a boat from Spiros - amazing. We were initially daunted by the step driveway to the villa but got used to it and the stunning views over the sea to Corfu town and Albania made the climb worthwhile. We never tired of sitting on one of the balconies and taking it all in - completely relaxing. We would definitely recommend Barbati Bay Villas and Barbati.

'A Perfect Place'
I spent ages looking for the perfect Corfu villa and, with Jane's help, I found it. We wanted a week of total relaxation, with a pool, privacy, nice restaurants, a shop or 2 to mooch in and somewhere lovely to stay - and that’s what we got. The villa does have a slightly odd layout, but it was perfect for 2 people and would also be OK with kids. The top floor has a fabulous master suite with a king-size bed, ensuite and a balcony with a view to die for (as does the living room) You can look over to the lights of Corfu town or to the left and the Albanian hills. The pool and surrounds are great, there's another area to sit and have lunch overlooking the pool - and of course those balconies... In my quest for relaxation - and wine - I didn't want to hire a car and, again, this works very well here. There are probably 5 or 6 great places to eat, a cool cocktail bar, 2 bakeries and a couple of supermarkets, plus a beach with a bar just below the main road of Barbati. The villa and resort have everything you need and if you do fancy a change of scenery you can hop on the bus to Corfu town. We had a wonderful time - fabulous villa, beautiful resort and charming people. Thank you again and hope to return...
