'Villa Alyssa in Nissaki'
As a family of 5, we had a very enjoyable stay in this villa, once we had mastered the steep access road to and from. We were very comfortable and had everything we required. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the stunning views.
Thank you.

'Villa Alyssa, 2019'
The villa presented to us aligned with our expectations. The whole booking process was seamless and questions raised were responded to promptly.
The only concern we had was the Corfu rubbish situation (which is out of Prestige Villas control), which put a bit of dampener on things.

'Fabulous Villa with views to match.'
Villa Alyssa is quite simply the best villa I have stayed at on the island of Corfu. The standard of fit and finish throughout is very high and the view from the villa is exceptional both by day and by night. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of Villa Alyssa is the swimming pool which is much longer and deeper ( at the deep end ) than the usual pools featured in lesser villas. There is only one downside to Alyssa and that is access. Personally I had little difficulty using a car to get to and from the villa but the drive up is very steep with many hair-pin bends and some may find the drive both to and from the villa a little daunting. In my humble opinion however, Alyssa is well worth the effort and I am very sure that we will be staying here again in the future.

'a nice, relaxing holiday in a quiet residential area'
The house is beautifully located on a hillside overlooking the sea on Corfu town, there are neighboring houses, but you can not notice the hillside situation practically. Nobody can look at the terrace either. It is absolutely quiet during the day and at night (we were there in May) The house is comfortably furnished, except for a few small things, which we bought then, the kitchen is well equipped. A very good espresso machine is available. The beds were all comfortable, the 3 bathrooms modern and spacious. We needed a heater in the evenings, which also worked well. Air conditioners are available in the bedrooms, but we did not need. At all doors and windows are mosquito screens. The cleaning service came twice a week, punctually and discreetly. A concierge service is available The pool was well maintained, overall everything was very clean. We felt very comfortable and safe in a beautiful residential area, only the 300 meters in serpentines up and down was a bit exhausting, without a car you could not live there. Shops and tavernas are along the main street, enough for the daily small shopping.

We stayed in Villa Alyssa for one week with three couples. A lovely well maintained Villa with a nice pool and garden overlooking the sea and the capital of Corfu, Kerkyra. The road to the house is good but a little steep. The location is perfect for a stay of 6 persons. It has three nice bedrooms, all with a sea view and lots of privacy. Good beds and nice linen. The kitchen is well equipped. The different terraces all are cozy with a magnificent view. Nissaki is a central location to visit the interesting spots on the island. Jane and her team are very accurate, helpful and kind. We had a lovely stay!

Great villa and we only have minor comments: It would be good to have comfort cooling or ceiling fan in the main living space as the wasps drive you indoors for evening meals. If there is any guidance on recycling rubbish it would be good to know as it appears there is no solution.

Villa Alyssa was excellent, we really enjoyed our two weeks in July, we are a young family with 7yr old twin boys, who loved the pool, literally swimming non stop. The location is very impressive, with outstanding views, if I could rate 5 star plus then I would. The Villa is high up, so you need a car. It's only 5 mins drive down to the beach and local shops (Katerinas and Aphrodite) which have everything you need for a family holiday, including ordering butchers meat which you can collect the next day if you want a BBQ. The Villa has a very impressive outside area, which is cleverly designed to always have plenty of shade at any time of day, which we loved for a snooze in the afternoon. The pool is great, very good for the kids, and exactly the size you would expect for a family villa. Inside the villa is designed very well, with 3 good bedrooms all with ensuite and comfortable beds. The TV has UK channels and a nice DVD player set up if you fancy movie night, which we did a couple of times. I have nothing to fault with the Villa, inside or out. Locally Nissaki is 5 mins drive straight down, the beach is very small, but very nice, with a small harbor to rent boats. Also Taverna Mitsos is great, amazing views, right on the sea, lovely in the evenings for a family meal. Explore the coast from Nissaki onwards, its a beautiful part of Corfu with some amazing beaches and tavernas for lunch / dinner. Jane and the team at prestige were excellent, and on call all the time for any small questions or help. Also we used the car service which was very impressive and made the whole arrival and departure process very easy and relaxed, I would recommend using that. Last comment take the kids to the waterpark, perfect for 6-12yrs olds, very clean, safe and a fun day out. We went twice. Have fun enjoy the sun.

To start with, the booking process was seamless and Jane was very helpful in making recommendations during our stay. Overall, Villa Alyssa is an excellent holiday rental. It is exactly as the photos suggest, well appointed with modern facilities and a great pool. The views across to Corfu Town are spectacular and it is tucked away so quiet and relaxing. We would recommend hiring a boat and go North up the coast - about €100 and access to lots of good restaurants in little coves. Couple of points worth noting: The Villa is 1km up a very tight and winding road, and therefore a car is essential if you have young kids. There are wasps as the location is in the hills but we found that burning ground Greek coffee (Tip from a local restaurant) keeps them away.

Excellent Villa & location but our time there was somewhat spoilt by various people turning up during the day, out of our first 5 days 4 of those we interrupted either by the pool man or gardener or just some guys that had come to pick up some stuff from the garden. we had been having a particularly stress full time at home leading up to our holiday so just wanted some uninterrupted peace and quiet, we did make a phone call to complain & our second week was better but it put us on edge every time we heard a car. We have been staying in villas in Corfu for many years & never had this problem before, the pool man would always turn up very early & we would very rarely see a gardener, shame because its a lovely villa in a beautiful location

The villa was beautiful and so spacious and comfortable. The light flowed into the villa through the huge open fold-back doors and the view of the sea beyond was almost panoramic. We loved the total peace and seclusion of the villa, with its gorgeous dense green hillsides on either side. We liked the shady terrace just outside the sitting room and the pool terrace was perfect for sunbathing. Being up at the top of the windy hill from the main road means you have utter peace and spectacular views of what is a very green and unspoilt part of the island. I very much hope to return to this villa. This has been our eighth summer holiday to a Greek island and has been the most perfect villa of all of them.

We arrived at this villa expecting a stunning start to a special holiday, but we were sadly mistaken. Internet or the AC in one of the bedrooms wasn't working, the villa was dusty and the toilet had been used. Big concertina full width doors in the main kitchen/ dining/ living room, but no air con or fly screens, so we couldn't leave them open, as we would have been inundated with flies, and the local cats, which we couldn't get rid of! Very very hot in there. Very steep, narrow, winding road to the villa, which meant we scraped the car trying to let people past. No follow up phone call from the management company (Prestige Villas of Corfu), despite me being so upset when I first phoned them about the problems. Granted they sorted most of them after my phone call, but a courtesy follow up phone call should have been made. Mid stay linen change used too small sheets on the bed, and no mid stay clean. The pool should have been cleaned twice a week, but it was only cleaned once two days before we left! Couldn't have a barbecue in peace due to the amount of cats, and couldn't eat outside as were were plagued by hundreds of wasps. Very dated furniture, with one of the sofas far to low to the floor and uncomfortable to sit on. Lots of niggly things made it certainly not worth anything like the 5 star rating it was advertised as, and although the view was spectacular and Nissaki very pretty, we will be back, but definitely not to Villa Alyssa.
Our Reply: Thank you very much for your review. I’m really saddened to read it but we take on board your critisim as an independent and honest review. In our opinion and that of the owners David & Janet, Villa Alyssa is a delightful holiday home which has just undergone some amazing remodeling which has enhanced the enjoyment of its guests. I realised you were not happy with the villa from the minute you arrived and following your phone call with you crying asking to be moved, I felt it necessary to drive the fifty minute journey up from my home to speak to you in person rather than over the telephone. I am sorry I didn’t follow up with a phone call, I felt that we had ironed out any issues and responded in a professional and honest manner. The issues you raised were immediately resolved, Aneska our housekeeper who has been with us for a number of years and is extremely passionate about her job also came up and explained that the villa had been cleaned more than 5 days previously and we were at a loss to understand why the loo had not been flushed. The little dust which had appeared was natural and down to the fact that the villa had been closed for some days. You had reported that the AC wasn't working in one of the bedrooms, we sent an AC engineer up the following morning who duly repaired it, you also complained there weren't enough parasols around the pool so I bought an extra Parasol that same day and had it sent up to you early the following morning. I also resolved the Internet problem which had been caused due to a severe storm the previous day, the password had reset itself during a power cut. As we left you had thanked us both and said everything was great… With regards to your comments about the pool, I can honestly assure you without doubt that Niko who works for our company visited the pool six times during your stay (Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday each week), we have the Ph Levels and the Chlorine levels logged on his computerized Photometer on every visit. Niko looks after Villa Madeleine pool below and Olive Grove further up the hill. Niko says that he visits Alyssa around 12.30pm and you were always out. Saddened to also read you rate the furniture as being dated. It's Balinese furniture and clearly not to your taste. Regarding the cats, they are local to the community which we have no control over I'm afraid. it's a rural area and in all honesty they do a good job in keeping away the vermin and more importantly the snakes. There are so many positive things about Villa Alyssa which you failed to mention and I am really sad to read that even after the minor issues were resolved so efficiently you really disliked the villa so much. With best wishes Jane & the Team at Prestige Villas
