The Villa was our home for 4 weeks in July / August 2024.
The perfect Villa. We are a family of 4, with 2 teenage girls and the villa has everything you need. It is a very large villa with amazing views, large grounds and outside space, large pool and all the amenities that you need.
We are frequent visitors to Corfu and repeat customers of Prestige Villas who are an absolutely amazing team who go above and beyond every time. Regularly in contact and if you have any issue let them know and they will respond and resolve immediately.
The master bedroom is something special with a massive sweeping terrace and views over the sea and to Corfu Town.
The location is perfect with easy access to all parts of Corfu.

Villa positioning and views were breathtaking, the Villa was lovely unfortunately it was not as clean as expected the terrace upstairs, floors and worktops throughout were not clean, it felt cleaning rushed as we arrive at 4.15 and cleaning team just leaving. Also out of six outside chairs to dining set one had a cushion. Only 4 Sunbeds around pool could of done with 2 more, the glassware needs replacing all of it is stained and no large glasses just small tumblers.
The water feed had also stopped working and the tank kept us awake for 2 nights, prestige villas did send a plumber but the noise continued on last night.
That said if all these things were put right I would definitely recommend. Prestige Villas did respond to all our queries just unfortunate some of these things could have been put right before our arrival.
Our Reply:
Hi Julia – we can’t apologise enough about the standard of the cleaning and we’re shocked to read this. We will speak to the cleaning ladies and find out why you found floors and kitchen tops not clean. We realised that although Villa Alyssa has the largest water tank of all our villas, the local water has been on and off for many weeks. We arranged a water delivery but realise that due to demand it wasn’t a quick as we had hoped. We do have 6 sun beds at villa Alyssa (sometimes people move 2 up to the private balcony off the master-suite) and the outside dining seats don’t normally have cushions. We will also check on glassware etc. We certainly had a full set at the start of the summer. Thanks for taking the time to post a review and we give our assurance to future guests who may now be concerned, we will ensure all problems are rectified.

Villa Alyssa is beautiful and the views are incredible from its high perch on the hillside. It is in a really lovely area and felt safe and friendly. There is so much to see and do in the locality, that we couldn’t fit it all in in ten days! The host was helpful and responded quickly when we had a pool problem - it was fixed and refilled within a day which was impressive. The villa itself was spotless and had everything you might need. The air-con was a massive bonus in a heatwave! The roads are okay in the area, but be careful, there are a lot of hair-pin bends up to the villa on a small road - just go slow and it’s fine though! A brilliant stay - we will take away some fantastic memories.

Das Haus war toll. Wunderbare Aussicht, super Pool.

Agree with everything else that has been said. Stunning views especially of the mountain which we found mesmerising. All of the Prestige staff we came into contact with were amazing and special mention to Julia who dealt with any issues extremely efficiently. It looks along way up (1KM from the road) but it’s walkable if you have reasonable fitness, we did it on 3 separate occasions. It’s steep (at times) and very windy road but great way to walk off your dinner!

'Truly Incredible Property Management, Thank You!'
Our stay at Villa Alyssa was truly an exceptional experience. The villa is set on a hillside off a semi-private road, and the views to the villa and from the villa are stunning. The indoor and outdoor space is large, livable and well laid out so that 4 of us all felt total privacy while living there for the week. The large kitchen and outdoor grill were used daily, and the villa is well stocked with everything you need (and more). We all can't say enough good things about this place. We rented a car and drove to different hikes around the island each day (A rental car in Corfu is a must, and for this Villa's location especially, in my opinion) as the island is so beautiful and there is so much to see. The villa is only 5 minutes away from the closest shops and groceries/wine, and from our favorite restaurant, called Vitamins (Odd name for an authentic greek family-owned restaurant) but it's a must experience. We will certainly return to Corfu, and will stay at Villa Alyssa again!

'Perfect Place'
As beautiful as the photos are, Villa Alyssa is even more stunning in person. The views are spectacular, and everything about the home has been well-thought out to make the stay relaxing and comfortable. The spacious kitchen had everything we needed to make meals when we felt like staying in, and delicious bakeries and restaurants are only a short drive away. We appreciated the clear instructions for finding the place from the airport. It made our arrival a breeze and we were immediately able to settle in and enjoy the beauty of our surroundings. Every inch of the house was sparkling clean, and there were great touches throughout like good books to read, games to play, and goodies waiting for us in the fridge. Truly a perfect place to stay in Corfu!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Alyssa, it is a lovely Villa and is maintained beautifully. We had to move our booking a number of times due to Covid and the hosts were very accommodating. It was definable worth the wait. The villa is quite far up the road, which gives amazing views, but I would definitely recommend a car.

Clearly a well thought out family Villa, updated with lovely en suite showers and generally comfortable. Stunning views and lots of lovely areas to sit outside. WhatsApp with Prestige worked very well and response was very prompt.
Sadly let down by a below par change over. I had to clean the kitchen – work surfaces were sticky and covered in spattered tomato sauce and sink badly coffee stained. Equipment on work surfaces needed wiping clean. One tea towel is not adequate for 6 people and it would have been nice to be provided with a J cloth and a dishwasher tab to get us started. Shelves in living room pretty dusty.
Such a pity as, with a little more care and attention the facilities could have been outstanding.
Nonetheless a lovely family holiday and many happy memories made.
Our Response:
We are shocked to read your comments with regards to the cleaning and can’t apologise enough. We have been extremely short staffed with 2/3 of the office and housekeeping team all off with COVID at the same time and consequently the usual pre-arrival checks on the villa weren’t made and the extra help we had drafted in clearly hadn’t been as thorough as they should have been. We were however available at all times on the Whats App group chat throughout your stay and other than of a problem with the shower drain which we fixed immediately no mention of any cleaning complaints otherwise we would have sent the housekeeper straight back. We really are so very sorry and hope despite the let downs you did enjoy your stay and hope very much to see you again in the future.

Beautiful villa, well appointed, apart from a few kitchen items, like a blender, salad bowl etc. Incredible views which make up for the difficult drive up to the villa. Very comfortable and airy, very well maintained. The pool is perfect but a bit more shade would be even better. Would definitely recommend for a family.

We absolutely loved the villa. Incredible views, tranquil location, all amenities you could hope for for a family getaway. We barely left the villa, but we were close enough to restaurants and shops if needed. We, perhaps naively, didn’t know mosquitos would be an issue, so this was the only down side, but wouldn’t stop us returning.

'Incredible View, Location, Amenities, Customer Service, very few complaints'
It was easy to find all the information online, the policies were clear and the customer service with booking and the whole process was great, very responsive and willing to work with you and not against you. It was very reassuring to get this good feedback and information on arrival, what is around, information pack for the house, etc.
The view, location, house and value for money were great! It felt secure and locks and quality of all the fixtures was top notch. The bathrooms were clearly renovated and really nice and modern and the kitchen was the higlight with the view of the ocean through the wide doors, and had everything that you might need even if you were staying there with like 10 people. Everything was clean and there was all the necessary things provided already (towels, toilet paper, blankets, hand soap, etc.) and the grounds were very nice.
The pool was clean and someone came every few days to re-clean it, it was great to swim laps every morning to get some exercise. Look out though, there are a lot of neighborhood stray cats who can come in the house if you leave the doors open or unattended, but generally we didnt have a problem and none of the cats were aggressive or anything.
Some areas of improvement would be the beds first off, which were pretty hard and seemed very old. I would recommend updating the beds or at least adding some pillow top mattresses or something because it was like sleeping on a rock! Also the etnertainment system was not very straightforward, I am generally a pretty TV/DVD player/Stereo savvy person, but could not in the end figure out how to work the TV and watch some of the DVDs which were there. Somehow we managed to link our phones with the weird Apple-TV-like device (called MAG 250 or something) and play music and watch some videos from online but it was kind of a workaround.
There were some great restaurants around and the main city is only like 40 min drive (max) so we loved the location being away from the main city but still have the option to go for dinner or something spontaneously.
All in all 9/10 stars and if they get new beds and simplify the entertainment system somehow then this place would be flawless, and for a great price as well!
Our Reply:
Thanks so much for taking the time to post your informative review, we do really appreciate it.
I just wanted to respond with regards to the negative points you raised. Firstly, the beds, it’s very difficult to provide the perfect bed. The beds were imported from UK and although extremely good quality they are around ten years old and for the fact that the villa has only been rented for the last couple of years, the owners would only use the villa once or twice a year before that and so we felt they were perfectly adequate. We will check them and speak with the owners. Also worth mentioning is the fact the owner thought the Master king was too soft and asked us to place a piece of hardboard under the mattress!
Secondly with regards to the TV system, when we went to check the villa prior to our present guests we noticed the MAG250 TV box wasn’t synced with the TV. It was just a case of unplugging and re-booting the box and it immediately connected via the wifi to the TV giving a full selection of UK & European Terrestrial channels along with hundreds and hundreds of movies and box sets. We so wish you had called or messaged us and we would have given you the advice on what to do, rather than struggle on without TV for your stay. I will also check the villa book as this information I am sure is listed in the Housekeeping Section.
Great that you clearly enjoyed your stay this year though and you’re returning to Villa Alyssa, we’ll see you next October!!!
Best regards & stay safe.

'Stunning Holiday at Villa Alyssa'
''This was our second visit to Corfu using Prestige Villas. We stayed in Villa Alyssa overlooking an amazing panoramic view of Albania across to Corfu Town. The pool was amazing and the outdoor space was superb. Inside the Villa we also had a large open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room area. It had all mod cons and was great preparing our meals as we still had the incredible view to look at. We also had an impressive roof terrace outside our bedroom. In the evening it was lovely to watch the island come alive at night and look out over the sea during sunset. The holiday was so good that we have already booked to come back next year, September 2021, before our holiday was over. We will be using a different villa so we can have a different experience which was why we booked a different Villa to the one we had last year.Annabelle and the team were so good as flights were constantly being changed and cancelled but they worked tirelessly to ensure we had a great holiday. Another service they offer is an online shop which you can use before you arrive and delivered to your Villa for when you arrive. During these difficult times we found that doing the bulk of our shopping in advance meant we only needed to pop out for thinks like milk etc. Another brilliant service.
Many thanks again. The countdown for next year has already begun!''

The only concern we had was the Corfu rubbish situation (which is out of Prestige Villas control), which put a bit of dampener on things.

'Fabulous Villa with views to match.'
Villa Alyssa is quite simply the best villa I have stayed at on the island of Corfu. The standard of fit and finish throughout is very high and the view from the villa is exceptional both by day and by night. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of Villa Alyssa is the swimming pool which is much longer and deeper ( at the deep end ) than the usual pools featured in lesser villas. There is only one downside to Alyssa and that is access. Personally I had little difficulty using a car to get to and from the villa but the drive up is very steep with many hair-pin bends and some may find the drive both to and from the villa a little daunting. In my humble opinion however, Alyssa is well worth the effort and I am very sure that we will be staying here again in the future.

'a nice, relaxing holiday in a quiet residential area'
The house is beautifully located on a hillside overlooking the sea on Corfu town, there are neighboring houses, but you can not notice the hillside situation practically. Nobody can look at the terrace either. It is absolutely quiet during the day and at night (we were there in May) The house is comfortably furnished, except for a few small things, which we bought then, the kitchen is well equipped. A very good espresso machine is available. The beds were all comfortable, the 3 bathrooms modern and spacious. We needed a heater in the evenings, which also worked well. Air conditioners are available in the bedrooms, but we did not need. At all doors and windows are mosquito screens. The cleaning service came twice a week, punctually and discreetly. A concierge service is available The pool was well maintained, overall everything was very clean. We felt very comfortable and safe in a beautiful residential area, only the 300 meters in serpentines up and down was a bit exhausting, without a car you could not live there. Shops and tavernas are along the main street, enough for the daily small shopping.

The kitchen is well equipped. The different terraces all are cozy with a magnificent view. Nissaki is a central location to visit the interesting spots on the island. Jane and her team are very accurate, helpful and kind. We had a lovely stay!

Great villa and we only have minor comments: It would be good to have comfort cooling or ceiling fan in the main living space as the wasps drive you indoors for evening meals. If there is any guidance on recycling rubbish it would be good to know as it appears there is no solution.

Villa Alyssa was excellent, we really enjoyed our two weeks in July, we are a young family with 7yr old twin boys, who loved the pool, literally swimming non stop. The location is very impressive, with outstanding views, if I could rate 5 star plus then I would. The Villa is high up, so you need a car. It's only 5 mins drive down to the beach and local shops (Katerinas and Aphrodite) which have everything you need for a family holiday, including ordering butchers meat which you can collect the next day if you want a BBQ. The Villa has a very impressive outside area, which is cleverly designed to always have plenty of shade at any time of day, which we loved for a snooze in the afternoon. The pool is great, very good for the kids, and exactly the size you would expect for a family villa. Inside the villa is designed very well, with 3 good bedrooms all with ensuite and comfortable beds. The TV has UK channels and a nice DVD player set up if you fancy movie night, which we did a couple of times. I have nothing to fault with the Villa, inside or out. Locally Nissaki is 5 mins drive straight down, the beach is very small, but very nice, with a small harbor to rent boats. Also Taverna Mitsos is great, amazing views, right on the sea, lovely in the evenings for a family meal. Explore the coast from Nissaki onwards, its a beautiful part of Corfu with some amazing beaches and tavernas for lunch / dinner. Jane and the team at prestige were excellent, and on call all the time for any small questions or help. Also we used the car service which was very impressive and made the whole arrival and departure process very easy and relaxed, I would recommend using that. Last comment take the kids to the waterpark, perfect for 6-12yrs olds, very clean, safe and a fun day out. We went twice. Have fun enjoy the sun.

To start with, the booking process was seamless and Jane was very helpful in making recommendations during our stay. Overall, Villa Alyssa is an excellent holiday rental. It is exactly as the photos suggest, well appointed with modern facilities and a great pool. The views across to Corfu Town are spectacular and it is tucked away so quiet and relaxing. We would recommend hiring a boat and go North up the coast - about €100 and access to lots of good restaurants in little coves. Couple of points worth noting: The Villa is 1km up a very tight and winding road, and therefore a car is essential if you have young kids. There are wasps as the location is in the hills but we found that burning ground Greek coffee (Tip from a local restaurant) keeps them away.

Excellent Villa & location but our time there was somewhat spoilt by various people turning up during the day, out of our first 5 days 4 of those we interrupted either by the pool man or gardener or just some guys that had come to pick up some stuff from the garden. we had been having a particularly stress full time at home leading up to our holiday so just wanted some uninterrupted peace and quiet, we did make a phone call to complain & our second week was better but it put us on edge every time we heard a car. We have been staying in villas in Corfu for many years & never had this problem before, the pool man would always turn up very early & we would very rarely see a gardener, shame because its a lovely villa in a beautiful location

The villa was beautiful and so spacious and comfortable. The light flowed into the villa through the huge open fold-back doors and the view of the sea beyond was almost panoramic. We loved the total peace and seclusion of the villa, with its gorgeous dense green hillsides on either side. We liked the shady terrace just outside the sitting room and the pool terrace was perfect for sunbathing. Being up at the top of the windy hill from the main road means you have utter peace and spectacular views of what is a very green and unspoilt part of the island. I very much hope to return to this villa. This has been our eighth summer holiday to a Greek island and has been the most perfect villa of all of them.

We arrived at this villa expecting a stunning start to a special holiday, but we were sadly mistaken. Internet or the AC in one of the bedrooms wasn't working, the villa was dusty and the toilet had been used. Big concertina full width doors in the main kitchen/ dining/ living room, but no air con or fly screens, so we couldn't leave them open, as we would have been inundated with flies, and the local cats, which we couldn't get rid of! Very very hot in there. Very steep, narrow, winding road to the villa, which meant we scraped the car trying to let people past. No follow up phone call from the management company (Prestige Villas of Corfu), despite me being so upset when I first phoned them about the problems. Granted they sorted most of them after my phone call, but a courtesy follow up phone call should have been made. Mid stay linen change used too small sheets on the bed, and no mid stay clean. The pool should have been cleaned twice a week, but it was only cleaned once two days before we left! Couldn't have a barbecue in peace due to the amount of cats, and couldn't eat outside as were were plagued by hundreds of wasps. Very dated furniture, with one of the sofas far to low to the floor and uncomfortable to sit on. Lots of niggly things made it certainly not worth anything like the 5 star rating it was advertised as, and although the view was spectacular and Nissaki very pretty, we will be back, but definitely not to Villa Alyssa.
Our Reply: Thank you very much for your review. I’m really saddened to read it but we take on board your critisim as an independent and honest review. In our opinion and that of the owners David & Janet, Villa Alyssa is a delightful holiday home which has just undergone some amazing remodeling which has enhanced the enjoyment of its guests. I realised you were not happy with the villa from the minute you arrived and following your phone call with you crying asking to be moved, I felt it necessary to drive the fifty minute journey up from my home to speak to you in person rather than over the telephone. I am sorry I didn’t follow up with a phone call, I felt that we had ironed out any issues and responded in a professional and honest manner. The issues you raised were immediately resolved, Aneska our housekeeper who has been with us for a number of years and is extremely passionate about her job also came up and explained that the villa had been cleaned more than 5 days previously and we were at a loss to understand why the loo had not been flushed. The little dust which had appeared was natural and down to the fact that the villa had been closed for some days. You had reported that the AC wasn't working in one of the bedrooms, we sent an AC engineer up the following morning who duly repaired it, you also complained there weren't enough parasols around the pool so I bought an extra Parasol that same day and had it sent up to you early the following morning. I also resolved the Internet problem which had been caused due to a severe storm the previous day, the password had reset itself during a power cut. As we left you had thanked us both and said everything was great… With regards to your comments about the pool, I can honestly assure you without doubt that Niko who works for our company visited the pool six times during your stay (Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday each week), we have the Ph Levels and the Chlorine levels logged on his computerized Photometer on every visit. Niko looks after Villa Madeleine pool below and Olive Grove further up the hill. Niko says that he visits Alyssa around 12.30pm and you were always out. Saddened to also read you rate the furniture as being dated. It's Balinese furniture and clearly not to your taste. Regarding the cats, they are local to the community which we have no control over I'm afraid. it's a rural area and in all honesty they do a good job in keeping away the vermin and more importantly the snakes. There are so many positive things about Villa Alyssa which you failed to mention and I am really sad to read that even after the minor issues were resolved so efficiently you really disliked the villa so much. 'Fabulous'
The house is great, well equipped and comfortable. The views are magnificent and even though the road is a challenge it is very convenient for the north east coast. Jane and Chris were extremely helpful when the water stopped and when we managed to leave things behind. Will definitely use them again next year.

'Amazing Views'
The views are amazing! Villa is of a very high standard. Pool is beautiful. The area is the best we found in corfu, nestled amongst olive trees. Perfect weather. Jane is also amazing and nothing is too much for her. Very steep drive to villa though, keep in first gear! But we'll worth it for the view.
