'Loved it'
We stayed at Pelekas Cottage for 11 nights in July and we absolutely loved it. The location is amazing and only a short drive from numerous beautiful sandy beaches on the West coast. Its also only 15 mins from Corfu old town which is a must to visit both at day and night. The pool was perfect size for a family of 5 and plenty of sun longer, outdoor furniture and kids beach toys. Great decor inside, nice and modern and everything supplied in the kitchen to cook. Really like the peaceful and rural atmosphere which was great to come back to after busy days exploring Corfu. Andy and Jane were extremely helpful with all our needs and got back to any enquires we had immediately. I highly recommend staying at this beautiful cottage, we have special memories from here that will last forever

A lovely quiet well equipped villa overlooking olive trees. 5 min drive to many tavernas at Pelekas, shops and petrol station within easy reach. the beach at Pelekas is good but crowded and the road steep and windy with very limited parking. We preferred the beach at Paleokastrista an easy 20min drive away

'Holiday Hideaway'
Just spent 2 weeks at Pelekas Cottage and don't really want to go home! It's peaceful and quiet, the weather has been glorious. The cottage is perfect: beautifully decorated and well equipped and very well maintained. The pool is just right and is checked 3 times a week. It's in a really good central location, just a 15/20 minute drive from Corfu Town (which we loved) and is in a good position to explore Corfu from. We traveled the length and breath of the island, to all places the guide book recommended, but we were always glad to get back to the Cottage. There are loads of great tavernas in Pelekas, and tons of supermarkets in the area. The owners have been great, answered our emails very promptly when we had questions. They have a good support team here who keep the place clean and tidy. With so much of the world to explore, we don't normally go anywhere twice, but if we came back to Corfu, then we would definitely come back to Pelekas Cottage.

'Pelekas Cottage'
Pelekas Cottage is as described, neat and tidy well presented and well equipped. It is in a rural location and very peaceful. I would suggest that a car is essential as you are not really within walking distance of any amenities. Well situated for exploring the rest of the Island. Communication with Andy the owner was very good and he was able to offer helpful advice. We would get takeaway pies and pastry's from the little bakery on the corner in Pelekas village which is excellent and spent most days exploring various beaches. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to others.

'Wonderful Pelekas Cottage'
My partner and I have just spent a wonderful week at this idyllic, immaculate villa and private pool fully equipped both inside and out with everything you need and more set in a secluded rural area, and yet close to a lovely sandy beach with places to eat, drink and sunbathe and just a few minutes the other way Pelekas village with its tavernas, shops and pretty views, also very close to Kaisers throne not to be missed!! Easy access to Corfu town, Gouvia, Dassia & Paleo (where we spent an afternoon at the Calypso Bar with its stunning views). Been to Corfu many times but not to Pelekas which is now a favourite. Cant speak too highly of the attention to detail provided by Andy and Chris the manager. Cant wait to come back.

'Peaceful Retreat'
We stayed for a week in this lovely villa, and found it comfortable, clean and well supplied with everything we needed for our holiday. We went with 2 teenagers and a 12yr old and we found the villa was able to comfortably accommodate us all. It's lovely to arrive late at night on holiday and only have to drive only 15/20 mins from the airport to get to your destination, and find, even so it's peaceful and quiet. The villa is so well situated, 5 mins from the pretty hilltop village of Pelekas, with a wonderful choice of pretty golden sandy beaches with crystal clear sea. I wasn't expecting the coastline to be so beautiful with pine clad hills dropping down to a necklace of coves with a turquoise sea - stunning. Watching the sunset over the sea from a restaurant at the top of one of the hills (Kaiser's throne) with a cool glass of bubbly was a lovely way to end our first full day. The pool was spotless and sufficiently big for the 5 of us, and our girls really enjoyed spending time there and cooling off in the pool. If you're looking for a place to unwind where the biggest question of the day is "pool or beach?" then this is a great villa in which to base yourself, as you'll be happy with either answer. There are also plenty of places to explore by car; the north east of the island has a different character, but no less pretty beaches, albeit white pebbles instead of sand. And Corfu is a charming, characterful town with it's warren of narrow streets and pleasant squares. We had a great time in Andy and Mags villa- we'd happily go back tomorrow.'

'LOVELY VILLA'
Lovely villa, just 15 minutes from the airport, and although we arrived late at night, Andy's instructions were very easy to follow. There were the only two of us, but the villa would have been fine for 4. Although it's the middle one of three attached villas, one is not ready to be let and the other was empty, so we were undisturbed. The villa is well equipped, clean and in excellent condition. Outside was quite spacious and had two tables, 8 chairs and six sun loungers! There was always some shade available, while the pool and part of the garden always remained in the sun - perfect! The pool is small but for the two of us was just right, and it was cleaned 3 times a week. We shared the garden with a few frogs and grasshoppers, and the swifts entertained us with their aerobatics - one pair had built a nest in the covered patio and their eggs hatched while we there. And the fireflies came out when it was dark! You do need a car, but the village of Pelekos is only a 5 minute drive away. There are four or five decent tavernas. All in all, we had a very good stay. We wanted to relax and unwind, and that's exactly we did. This villa is definitely worth considering.

'Stunning Villa and pool'
We travelled out to Corfu on EasyJet and hired a car via Value Plus. All very uneventful and easy. The instructions to get to the villa are spot on but the local drivers and lack of road signs lead a lot to be guessed. The villa is amazing. Everything you need to live ‘home from home’ including a washing machine, games console, DVDs for when the kids get too hot outside and some fantastic 80’s music!! The CD player was on everyday whilst we lounged by the private pool. As we arrived late we also took advantage of the ‘food parcel’ which was perfect as we didn’t get to the villa until after midnight and needed a cup of tea! One thing I would say is try and be at the villa around 10pm. The fire fly display on the track road is amazing – even for a child that hates bugs. We loved them and it was the first time we had seen such a display of lights. I think they are only around for a few months though. Recommended places; Certainly drive to Pelekas village and go right up to the top at Kaisers Throne. You get views across Corfu and over to Albania and Greece. The village has a few tavernas and bars but not all take cards so be aware. Agios Gordios, slightly further down the coast from Pelekas, is also worth a days visit. Lovely beach and lots of tavernas. We went to the Sea Breeze hotel and used their pool as we bought food there. If you are looking for a relaxing villa, away from the hustle, with a private pool then you cannot ask for anything better than this villa. ;0

'Corfu Review'
Our stay at Pelekas Cottage was great & very relaxing, the cottage was exactly as described as were the facilities, it was clean, well equipped and the pool was regularly cleaned by Tony. The directions given from the airport to the property were precise and easy to follow, only about 20 mins. It is a good place from which to explore the whole island and only 10 minutes from the nearest beach, all the beaches had something to offer, our favourite was Ermone which also has several beach side taverna's selling a good selection of food at favourable prices. The fireflies were a delight & fascinating to watch, as the darkness fell. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to get away from it all, but within distance of all facilities. Brilliant !! :-)
Response to review:
Thank you very much for your wonderful review Mike and Susan. We're really pleased that you enjoyed the villa and Corfu as much as we do. :-) Hope to have you stay again sometime in the future.

This holiday was absolute heaven. As has been said in all the reviews, the owners Andy and Mags couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They made sure we had everything we needed. The location is wonderful, the beach is literally minutes away. There are a few great tavernas around Pelekas village which we went to. A bit further afield is Agios Gordios. All lovely and clean. Quiet and peaceful, the perfect place for a wonderful holiday. There are supermarket type shops just outside Corfu Town which supply everything you need to be self catering. The villa has everything you need to be a self caterer if you don’t want to eat out. Not often we say this but we could find nothing to complain about on this holiday. Certainly recommend this lovely villa. The photographs do not do the villa justice. It is stunning, peaceful and relaxing.

'Corfu holiday (Two of us)'
This villa was just what we needed for a holiday in Corfu. We wanted a base to allow us to go for walks and drives out to local attractions. We hired a car and visited lots of the local sites. The monastery is great for scenic photographs but there are also plenty of coach trips so it can be busy. We walked behind a tour to listen to the local history. Corfu Town is 15 minutes away and is lovely and quaint in places. Spend a few hours walking around, and you will find interesting sights, shops of every size and quality. The people are friendly and helpful - some of the small shops are filled with fantastic local items. Pottery, clothing and lovely local jewellery. Prices are reasonable, and there was no attempt at ripping off tourists that we found. Old Fortress is positioned at the head of the town stretching out on a peninsula of rocks into the sea and stands high above the town for all to see. It is a magnificent fortress and a complex structure. You can't miss this from Corfu Old Town. We enjoyed walking around the fortress, especially to enjoy the gorgeous views of the water. The chapel was worth a short visit as well. We would recommend the villa for a nice quiet base. It was clean, friendly and had everything you would need to be home from home for a week or two. As a couple the villa had loads of room with a double and a twin bedroom plus seating areas inside and out.

'Gorgeous Holiday Villa in Corfu'
We had a last minute opportunity to have a week holiday and after some searching on sites found this villa on Corfu. Andy the owner was great and answered all of our questions very quickly. This allowed us to look at flights and car hire without any hassle. The car hire from the airport has an anytime pickup day and night and the villa was easy to find following Andys very informative directions. The villa came complete with its own pool which we struggled to keep the kids out of. It was great to sit and read for a while and then have a swim to cool off. The villa has Air Con so the temperature can be controlled, of a night, as it was quite humid whilst we stayed. The weather could have done with a good thunder storm but it didn’t happen whilst we were there. As we had the car to get us from the airport to the villa we did some trips out. The villa is a 5 minute drive to the local Pelekas beach but well worth a day or two out and about. If you go to Paleokastritsa Beach a bit further away then you must go to the monastery. It is a good 10 minute walk up a steep hill but well worth it for the fantastic views and the tranquillity of the monastery. It is also possible to park at the top but we had already parked the car locally. The relaxing courtyard with grapes growing over the wall into the sea is superb. Women are asked to cover up with supplied skirts if you go inside the monastery. There also seems to be quite a lot of cats and kittens in the grounds which kept the children amused and there was a museum giving a brief history of the monesterys artifacts. At Pelekas there are plenty of Tavernas and places with gorgeous fresh food. We ate at Alexandras which has wonderful sea views. We got to watch the sunset with stunning orange and purple skies. It made it really romantic even though we had the kids squabbling over who was to play what game next!! You can’t have everything. We really would recommend this villa and would love to come again. It is clean, neat and full of stuff to do – not that we needed it - like games, a games console for the kids and don’t forget about the private pool!!

When you've had enough of family BBQ's and sunny afternoons by the pool this peaceful location is and ideal base to explore Corfu by car, stunning beaches at Pelekas, Agios Gordios and others are only a 5 or 10 min drive away and all with just too many taverna's and bars which makes selection difficult, but what a problem to have !!!!! Booking again in 2014 for our 3rd year.
