Villa Pelagos meaning 'of the sea' is named because of its spectacular 180 degree views, it is British owned and has only recently been completed. It is a great addition to our North East portfolio being in the heart of this stunning coastline in the hills above Nissaki and overlooking the pretty harbour below.
This light and airy villa is located above a quiet lane up a steep driveway, it's decorated and furnished in cool colours and has three bedrooms (Two Doubles + 1 Twin) all with contemporary en-suite bath/shower rooms and all enjoying the same breathtaking view of the sea through their French Windows. The villa has top quality mattresses and also benefits from underfloor heating during the cooler months.
Sleepy hamlet
This quiet place on the northeast coast of Corfu is laid out around a trio of coves, with sweeping views over to Albania. Nissaki comes with a clutch of shops and restaurants, and spreads up into the pine-covered foothills of Mount Pantokrator, Corfu’s highest peak. You’ll find some premium hiking trails if you can drag yourself away from the village’s old-world charm and relaxed beach.
A secluded beach
The narrow, horseshoe-shaped main beach is made up of white pebbles shelving gently into clear waters. You’ll always find a spot here, even at the busiest times, and there are plenty of sunloungers and parasols to rent. If you’re feeling adventurous you can snorkel around the nearby coves, or hire a boat to explore them.
Jaw-dropping walks
Behind the village, there are paths leading through the cypress-covered sides of Mount Pandokator – you could pack a picnic and wander off for the day. The 220-kilometre-long Corfu Trail, which winds around the island, passes through the valley behind Nissaki – you’ll get a stunning sea view if you head out along the steep coastal path towards the rocky coves of Katavolos.
Days out
From around 80 euros a day you can hire a speedboat and glide around the coastline. A popular destination is Agni, where there’s a pretty, pebbly bay backed by a trio of family-run tavernas. Or you can drive to Corfu Town in about 40 minutes. The island capital wears its Venetian architecture well, though there’s a distinctly Parisienne look to The Liston, an arcade of elegant cafés.

Nissaki is one, if not the most poplular areas on the whole of Corfu for villa holidays. Nissaki spreads itself along a three kilometre stretch of stunning coastline, encompassing numerous bays and small mountain hamlets. The harbour is the focal point of the area, with a selection of traditional tavernas located around the pretty harbour and immaculate pebbly beach. Here you will find the clearest water, a haven for snorkling. Miltos Restaurant is the built on the edge of the rocky outcrop overlooking the sea and the beach down by the harbour. It's the largest most popular taverna down in Nissaki where Agatha & Lakis and their family before them have been serving delicious home cooked food since 1955. Located on the coastal road you will find the well stocked Aphrodite Supermarket, a bakery, ATM machine and a little further along the road a small selection of tavernas. On the coastal road between Nissaki & the popular resort of Barbati, is the very popular waterfront restaurant 'Glyfa Taverna' Built on the rocks that lead down to the sea, the restaurant is on three levels with views across the sea towards Corfu Town. Anthoula does all the cooking and the staff here are extremely friendly. Lunch is served daily from 12 noon and dinner until 11pm. There are also sunbeds here for free.
